About Chef June

Chef JuneInspired by a life-long passion for cooking and health, I became a personal chef to share my love of preparing healthy gourmet cuisine for others. I fell in love with the culinary world as a child, helping my mother prepare international and continental cuisine from scratch. Growing up enjoying nutritious, homemade meals instilled in me the priceless value of eating right.

Following my early interest in the culinary field, I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Food Science and Nutrition. Since 1995, I’ve been a dietitian, specializing in diet design for clients of all ages at hospitals, schools, public health agencies, and agricultural corporations. I am committed to staying current on food trends by continuing my culinary classes, developing and testing recipes, and researching the latest cookbooks and diet recommendations.

In 2000, I created Healthy Chef, pairing my love of culinary arts with my nutrition knowledge. It’s been a tremendously rewarding adventure ever since, being able to do what I love while seeing my clients reap the benefits. My clients include busy singles, couples and families tired of eating take-out, overweight people wanting an easy-to-follow meal plan that works, people with food allergies or illnesses, seniors on restrictive medical diets, professional and “weekend-warrior” athletes, and overwhelmed moms who just need some extra help in the kitchen. Whatever your situation, my chef service can help make your life easier!
