What kind of tea is called "PUER?
Pu-erh tea (or Pu'er tea) is a type of tea leaf "great variety "of the tea plant Camellia sinensis and the name of Pu'er County near Simao, Yunnan, China. In Cantonese is known as po-Lay (or bo-lay) tea. Pu-Erh can be roughly classified as green tea or fermented tea as post-processing method or aging. This "coverage" of types of tea are some problems for classification. For this reason, tea green appearance of Pu-Erh is sometimes ignored, and the tea is considered only as a post-fermented product. Unlike other teas that ideally should be consumed shortly after production, Pu-Erh can be drunk immediately or aged for many years. As such, Pu-Erh are often classified by year and by production region and vintage wine. Although there are many fakes market Pu-erh and Pu-Erh is very old hard to find and identify, it is still possible to find Pu-Erh is 10 to 50 years, and some of the Qing Dynasty.
