The scourge of obesity has reached huge proportions worldwide now called globesity. Obesity is now accepted as a global epidemic and governments are investing money and resources to combat this threat, which is quietly swallowing the economic benefits of a country.
Obesity is a relatively new disease that has spread in 50 years. The research in the U.S. indicate a 1% increase in obesity levels each year for 20 years and the rate of 100% of the U.S. population be overweight in 2040. Rest of the world is not far behind that with globalization. Organizational culture, global chains Fast food, soft drinks and soft drinks have spread in all countries of the corrupt world of good eating habits in the world.
We understand the underlying causes and historical trends that led to the battle against obesity effectively as an individual company.
What trends are leading to obesity in order to reach such proportions?
The work culture in flux:
The industrial revolution gave way to automated assembly lines and cultures where people were required to perform tasks with minimal loss of movement, assembly can be a part or piece equipment or product may be in possession of working capital.
The movements of extra and unwanted are strictly controlled to the point of limiting the rest breaks and toilet. This resulted in a low physical activity.
On 9 to 5 with stenosis of the work culture fixed in the leaves and other parties has resulted in interaction Small but social. Perform mechanical tasks for most of the day, employees were mentally tired, no social outlet. To compensate for a mechanical people uninteresting began working environment Snack find and watch endless soap operas and sporting events as an alternative.
Improvements in transport
Improved mode of life has accelerated so much that people spent more time working and commuting long distances to find work. For there is little need to travel long distances. Subway cars transport improvements to steal sometimes on a daily basis leading to insufficient physical activity and metabolism. The pace of life has become thousand times faster than the century of life under the back 18. This resulted in a high stress that leads to an increased desire for carbohydrates and food with high energy. Gradually, created high-calorie, high energy of the fast food culture that, while instant gratification and energy, but lacked the nutrients. This fast-food culture has created an increase in weight and high levels of obesity
Technology Development
Technology has influenced the way we live and work. From the kitchen to the computer, everything is just a simple touch of a button with very little physical activity. This sedentary lifestyle led to a reduction of metabolic activity and calorie burning. Physical activity has declined in gyms or in exercise home with the team that really can not perform all parts of the body as a result of consistently increased weight and obesity.
Role of Technology Information
Information technology has influenced the new work culture. They no longer have to visit clients or potential clients and partners business meetings. You are using all the computers, Internet and Intranet, videoconferencing and teleconferencing. You do not even need to get your boss to deliver a file or discussion issues regularly. You not only through computers or intercoms. Transportation to work together is always followed by teleworking and work delivered to your home. The technology has allowed even the outsourced work in various countries, without physical contact necessary. The trend is only likely to accelerate the creation of less physical movement and accumulation of a higher waist.
The fast food business model
The fast food business model has affected our life as nothing else before. Technology changes quickly brings lifestyle created a very stressful work culture, shifting the family of low physical activity, while resulting in the inability of the body to break down sugar led to an increased desire for instant and rapid absorption, energy-rich foods cheap. Fast food and sugary drinks come quickly to take advantage of that need changing and rake in the Moolah an economic cost significant for individuals, governments and society. These glorified fast-food companies and spreading throughout the whole world of fast food culture as the alternative cheap when cooking at home. In the early realization time the adverse effects of junk food in the form of attitude, it was too late. The restaurant industry is now quickly developed sufficient financial resources to buy even the legislation that are particularly favorable in economically weaker countries. Generation X is now completely sold more of these fast food (if you can call the food at all) with all the glitz and glamor of publicity.
The wheel has come full circle. If we are to escape the scourge of advance technology, we must rethink how life on Earth. Technology should be a catalyst for improving health and lifestyles and not the source of the destruction of mankind. People have to start getting back to basics at least in terms of diet, activity Physical and spend more time in the operations that will result in better health. Obesity and overweight must be addressed by designing new lifestyle that will integrate technology of natural life.

College in the Country $22.95 Mildred English’’s College in the Country traces the development of adult education programs at West Georgia College and in surrounding rural areas. The College in the Country program began in 1949, when West Georgia College chaplain J. Carson Pritchard was asked to conduct Bible study classes by residents of Smithfield, Georgia. These classes evolved into a lecture series on a variety of topics and eventually the program officially formed. College in the Country quickly spread to other communities and lasted into the 1960s, becoming the basis for the present Department of Continuing Education at the University of West Georgia. |

My Country My Country $16.99 Working alone in Iraq over eight months, director/cinematographer Laura Poitras creates an extraordinarily intimate portrait of Iraqis living under U.S. occupation. Her principal focus is Dr. Riyadh al-Adhadh, an Iraqi medical doctor, father of six and Sunni political candidate. An outspoken critic of the occupation, he is equally passionate about the need to establish democracy in Iraq, arguing that Sunni participation in the January 2005 elections is essential. Yet all around him, Dr. Riyadh sees only chaos, as his waiting room fills each day with patients suffering the physical and mental effects of ever-increasing violence. Dramatically interwoven into the personal journey of Dr. Riyadh is the landscape of the US military occupation, with Australian private security contractors, American journalists and the UN officials who orchestrate the elections. Unfolding like a narrative drama, My Country, My Country follows the agonizing predicament and gradual descent of one man caught in the tragic contradictions of the U.S. occupation of Iraq and its project to spread democracy in the Middle East. |
